Veteran Small Business Enhancement Act

Thank you for inquiring about the “Veteran Small Business Enhancement Act” that was signed into law on January 3rd, 2019.

Unfortunately, no federal surplus property will be available until policies and procedures have been developed and a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) is finalized. This will take a bit of time, and the National Association of State Agencies for Surplus Property (NASASP) is working hard to expedite the final rules so that the program can begin.

The State of Arkansas, along with other (SASP) are working with the Small Business Administration (SBA) and the General Services Administration (GSA) to get a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signed. Until this MOA is signed we will not be able to start the process of getting good usable federal surplus property in the hands of veteran owned businesses.

We recommend you contact your Small Business Association (SBA) Business Opportunity Specialist to for additional details and new developments they may have. www.sba.gov/ar or david.moody@sba.gov

Again thank you for your interest in this new program and we look forward to working with you.
